My name is Ashley Cmar. I’m a 27 year old mother of two from Latrobe, Pennsylvania. My daughter Deanna is 4 1/2 and was never breastfed, but my son Maximus is 13 months and we are still going strong with our breastfeeding journey! I don’t know who loves it more, him or me!
I’ve never faced criticism from outsiders when I nurse. I’ve actually had a little four-year-old girl come up to me, shove her head practically down my shirt and tell me that it’s so cool “I feed him with my boobies!” The person I receive the biggest guff from is actually my father-in-law. Every time I nurse he always says comments to me. That he’s too old, it’s disgusting and he’s even told me once “stop giving him your tits.” That is an actual word-for-word response I’ve gotten from him. But I continue to nurse, especially in front of him, to prove my point. He isn’t the parent and I am going to do it as long as my son enjoys it!Keep your head high ladies! Only you know what is best for your baby and you!
